The presented Atlas contains the results obtained in the Laboratory of
Hydrophysics of the Institute of Applied Physics RAS in the framework of INTAS-01-0025.
Maps of kinematic parameters for a model of internal wave propagation and
trasformation:
- propagation speed of long linear internal wave,
- parameter of dispersion,
- quadratic and cubic nonlinear parameters
are calculated for Arctic Basin.
For computations of internal wave parameters we used hydrological data from
World Ocean Atlas 1994 CD-ROM Data Set
and
Joint U.S. - Russian Atlas of
the Arctic Ocean, 1998. Corresponding spatial grids for natural data in two sources are one
degree and 50 km respectively.
